Scruffy City Orchestra Announces Fall Concert
Ace Edewards will lead Scruffy City Orchestra in their Fall “Something Old, Something New” Concert. The performance is Friday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. as part of Sacred Heart’s Cathedral Concert Series.
A special treat! This fall’s concert features the Adult and Youth winners of the 2023 SCO Concerto Competition.
The repertoire for the Fall 2023 performance includes:
- A Fugal Overture, Op. 40 No.1, Gustav Holst
- Introduction et rondo capriccioso, Op. 28, Camille Saint-Saëns
featuring soloist Chris Keum, Youth Competition winner - Violin Concerto, Op. 35, Pyotr Tchaikovsky
featuring soloist Elizabeth Burch, Adult Competition winner - Symphony No. 9, Op. 95, Antonín Dvořák
WHEN: Friday, Nov. 3, 2023 at 8:00 p.m.
WHERE: The Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 711 S. Northshore Drive, Knoxville
ADMISSION: Free (donations welcome). Seating is limited and reservations are requested through Eventbrite. An Eventbrite link will be available closer to the concert date.
